In the heart of Munich the hairdresser salon Barberella opened its doors in 2009. Already after some years more working places were needed as well as a barber corner was demanded . As the owners were not satisfied with the space design either, in 2014 the decision was made to completely redesign the shop.

Based on the inspiration of  braiding and pinning up someones hair, the architect Nikolas Witte and I developed a completely new face for Barberella. The mainly used materials are wood, leather and concrete, which underline the natural approach of the hairdressers and their partner AVEDA. Playing with the contrast of raw surfaces and elegant crafted furnitures a personal feeling touches everyone who visits the salon. Barberella re-opened its doors in March 2015.
